Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie has said she ''maybe'' ready to have a baby this year as she and her bandmates are taking an extended break from the group.
Fergie "maybe" ready to have a baby this year.
The 36-year-old singer is taking a career break and is planning to spend a lot of quality time with her husband Josh Duhamel, 39, over the coming months.
And she hasn't ruled out starting a family with the Hollywood hunk in 2012, because it would be the perfect time to get pregnant.
When asked about her plans for motherhood while attending the opening of the 1 OAK Las Vegas nightclub at The Mirage resort and casino, she cryptically said: "Maybe, who knows? We'll see."
Fergie and the rest of her Black Eyed Peas bandmates - will.i.am, Taboo and Apl.de.ap - are going on hiatus this year and she is looking forward to having some time to herself in the coming months without the strict schedule that being in the group requires.
The 'Meet Me Halfway' singer told People.com: "I want to spend time with my husband, watch football, watch basketball. I'm going where the day takes me - having days where I have no schedule. That's going to be nice and refreshing for me ... a definite change."
She added: "I'm looking forward to being home and not having to sleep in a different city or country every night."
