Florence Welch likes to "scare people" when she performs.
The 'Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up)' singer - who performs under the name Florence and the Machine - insists her on stage persona differs wildly from her day-to-day personality.
She said: "I like to be scary onstage. To scare people or make them happy is my goal.
"There's something inside me that comes out on stage - there's a much angrier side to me."
Florence, 27, also revealed her family are not interested in her blossoming pop career - which has so far seen her debut album 'Lungs' sell over 100,000 copies.
My family are in medicine and film so they're not really interested in fame
She added to Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "My family are in medicine and film so they're not really interested in fame.
"Everyone in my family sees what I'm doing as another strange project I've decided to undertake, like going to an art project or running a bar."
