Gary Barlow has denied Robbie Williams will reunite with Take That soon.

The singer says the group are keen to work with their ex-bandmate - who left in 1995 to pursue a successful solo career - but denies a reunion is imminent.

When told Robbie was waiting for a call from him, Gary joked: "Quick, where's my phone?"

He added: "I've heard Robbie say that 50 times. We keep answering the same way - we'd all love to do something, but Rob's in the studio making an album and we're on tour in the summer.

Quick, where's my phone?He added:

"It will happen, I just don't know when."

Last week, Robbie, 35, revealed he is ready to rejoin the group - which also includes Mark Owen, Jason Orange and Howard Donald.

He said: "I think it would be fun. It would be good. I'm in regular contact with them, even Gary, so it's looking more likely by the week.

"The lads seem up for it and some people think it's a done deal."

It has been claimed the original Take That line-up are in talks to stage a residency at a major London venue.

A source said: "It's definitely on - don't believe the denials. It will be the most sensational comeback ever.

"But everything is under wraps as it's over a year away and the orders from top are to keep it quiet."
