Gary Barlow is organising a star-studded charity show.

The Take That star - who climbed Mount Kilimanjaro for charity last year - wants to stage a one-off spectacular at London's Royal Albert Hall in honour of British organisation Children In Need.

A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Gary has really been bitten by the fundraising bug. He was amazed by people's generosity during his Kilimanjaro climb.

"As soon as he got off the mountain he made the decision to lend his support to more charities.

He knows a lot of people and is widely respected so putting together a star bill has been plain-sailing. It's shaping up to be a very special night.

"Children In Need bosses have discussed a number of ideas with him but Gary thought it would be a good idea if he could put his musical skills to their best use."

Gary is understood to have asked Coldplay rocker Chris Martin and 'Bleeding Love' singer Leona Lewis to take part in the concert, and is also planning to perform with his Take That bandmates.

The event - which will be hosted by British comedian Peter Kay - will also be filmed for a special DVD.

The source added: "He knows a lot of people and is widely respected so putting together a star bill has been plain-sailing. It's shaping up to be a very special night."

British charity Children In Need was created to help improve the lives of disadvantaged kids in the UK.
