George Michael had a cocktail of drugs in his system when he was arrested in his car last year, a court heard yesterday (30.05.07).Prosecutor Andrew Torrington told North London's Brent Magistrates court that tests showed a therapeutic amount of an anti-depressant in the singer's system along with illegal dance club drug GHB.Michael - who was found slumped over the wheel of his Mercedes at a set of traffic lights on a busy London road last October - has already admitted to driving while unfit through drugs but claims he only had only been taking a prescription medication. The star's lawyer told the court it is common for GHB - which leaves users feeling groggy and powerless - to be found in blood samples even if the drug has not been taken.Michael - who did not attend the hearing - could face up to six months in prison when he is sentenced on June 8.The judge has stated he can expect a sentence at the "upper end of the scale for the offence".
