George's 'stalker' in mental hospital

George Michael's alleged stalker has been admitted to a mental hospital to undergo psychological tests. Lucy Nowak, 29, is being assessed by doctors to see if she is mentally fit to stand trial after she was arrested for a second time on suspicion of harassing the singer. The woman was out on bail after she was found breaking into George's Oxfordshire cottage. But she was arrested again when police caught her breaking a restraining order banning her from going within 100 metres of the cottage or George's North London home. Last week, George claimed he was quitting showbiz amid claims he has suffered a torrent of email abuse from a deranged stalker. The singer is reportedly in talks with police over the obsessed woman, who two months ago broke into his luxury home and stole his secret email address. Police are said to be so worried about the content of the fan's messages, they are treating it as a possible 'John Lennon' case. George said his hatred of fame has driven him to the brink of insanity and is now planning to become a recluse for the next ten years.

He revealed: "Enough is enough. That's the plan for the next ten years.

If I can take another step down from fame and still make music for people who love it, I will. It's been like pulling teeth, some of the promotional work I do.
