Geri 'sacks' ex-spice girl's male dancer

Geri Halliwell allegedly sacked one of her male dancers after discovering he had worked with ex-Spice Girl Emma Bunton.Sources claim the sexy singer axed the performer just hours before she was due to perform in London on Saturday night (15.11.04) because of his involvement with her former bandmate.An insider is quoted by Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "The guy was surprised when he got a call from his agent telling him his services were no longer required after he had already done TV shows with Geri. He knew it wasn't anything to do with his dancing skills.Then he was told it was because he'd danced with Emma."The claims are sure to shock Emma - formerly 'Baby Spice' - who has remained friends with Geri since she left the all-conquering girl group in 1998.However, sources say Geri didn't sack the unnamed dancer because she has a problem with Emma - but because she wants people to focus on her new material and not on her past.

The insider added: "Geri has worked so hard on her new album that she wants people to focus on her new songs and not her past.

She's still friends with Emma but would like a team around her that are focusing on this project 100 per cent."
