Giuliana and Bill Rancic became emotional during their baby's first ultrasound.
The 'E! News' anchor - who underwent a double mastectomy after being diagnosed with breast cancer last year - and her entrepreneur husband recently revealed they will welcome a baby in late summer via a gestational surrogate, and a sneak preview of tonight's (01.05.12) episode of their reality TV show 'Giuliana & Bill' reveals their joy on hearing the baby's heartbeat for the first time.
Bill said: "It's a little bit nerve-wracking because with IVF and with this type of a procedure, there's always a chance that there was a false positive."
Giuliana added: "Looking at these first images, all these emotions from the past start rushing back. All the struggles, the shots, all the doctors visits, the tears -- just everything.
"Seeing that image on the screen is everything we had prayed for and wished for. We just couldn't ask for anything more right now."
Meanwhile, Giuliana, 37, and 40-year-old Bill are planning to throw a co-ed baby shower.
Giuliana told Life & Style magazine: "We're planning the baby shower right now, and I just told Bill it's going to be co-ed."
Bill added sarcastically: "My friends are going to love that. Sunday afternoon -- I'm sure that's exactly what my friends want to be doing."
However, he thinks there's a way to make it all work: "We could do it at a country club on a golf course so the guys could go golfing while the girls sit around and open presents!"
