Halle Berry's former husband has blasted reports he is addicted to sex. R'n'B star, Eric Benet, who split from the stunning star last year after he admitted to a string of affairs, slammed rumours that he was being treated for the addiction. He revealed: "I am not a sex addict. I am a person who, through a series of emotional events, troubles, challenges, made some really, really stupid, painful mistakes." The R'n'B star claimed that he was never unfaithful to his wife throughout their two year marriage, but admitted to "physical contact that was extremely inappropriate and wrong in a marriage." The 33-year-old singer, who shares custody of his daughter from a previous relationship with the Hollywood star, also confessed that he struggled to live in the shadow of his Oscar winning wife, but denied her success was the reason their marriage broke down. He said: "I would be dishonest if I told you that wasn't an ego blow. But that was not the reason why our marriage fell apart."
Earlier this year 'Catwoman' star, Halle, admitted that she contemplated suicide when revelations of her husband's alleged affairs broke.
She revealed: "I came to London to film Bond after I had picked myself up off the floor.
Over the next two weeks I found out there was woman, after woman, after woman.
My bay windows looked real good and I thought I was going to go right through them."
