The Sugababes singer - who recently got engaged to British TV presenter Dave Berry - has started planning her nuptials and admits she has never been happier than since she said "yes" to Dave's proposal.

She said: "I can't wait to marry Dave, he's gorgeous, I'm so excited. I know it's sickly, but I love calling him my fiance."

Dave, 31, popped the question on New Year's Eve (31.12.09) while they were on holiday in the Caribbean and 26-year-old Heidi admits she was so overwhelmed she burst into tears.

She said: "He surprised me on New Year's Eve in Barbados. It was a complete surprise. I was hoping that he might ask me sometime soon but I never thought it'd be on New Year's Eve. I'm so excited. I was crying and shaking."

Heidi and Dave are considering a winter wedding but aren't yet sure where the venue will be.

Last month, she said: "It'll be next year, I think, a winter wedding.

"I'm obsessed already. All I've done is look on the internet at wedding sites."

Although Heidi is preparing to settle down, her bandmates Amelle Berrabah and Jade Ewen are on the lookout for their own Mr Rights.
