Teachers See Swank Film For Free.... US school teachers can see the new Hilary Swank movie Freedom Fighters for free at Amc Entertainment Inc cinemas for a week from Friday (26Jan07).The double Oscar winner stars in the film as an idealistic English teacher trying to overcome racial intolerance among her students in a Long Beach, California high school.However, the move to entice teacher cinemagoers follows their unhappiness that Swank features in the movie - after coming under fire for taking on the role because she never finished high school herself.Freedom Fighters has so far taken $26.5 million (£13.4 million) at the US box office, where it is currently the fifth most popular film.An Amc Entertainment Inc representative says, "We hope this (offer) will help express our sincere gratitude and appreciation for all that teachers do, often with very little thanks in return."
