Bollywood bad boy Salman Khan will plead with an Indian judge to release him from jail during a hearing on Thursday (30Aug07). The actor has been jailed for five years for killing an endangered species while shooting a film in India's Rajasthan state in 1998.Earlier this week (26Aug07) a judge rejected a bail plea and ordered the request to be heard by another judge.On Thursday, the Rajasthan High Court will decide whether or not to release Khan on bail pending an appeal against his sentence. This is not the star's first brush with the law in 2002 he was arrested for negligent driving when his car veered onto the sidewalk killing one person and injuring three more.The actor was under the influence of alcohol at the time but the charge of homocide were dropped but some legal action is still underway.
