Isla Fisher says she shops "with a purpose".

The Australian actress, who plays fashion conscious Rebecca Bloomwood in her new movie 'Confessions of a Shopaholic', hates spending hours in stores and often buys clothes she never wears.

She said: "I have never been a good shopper. I don't really enjoy it. I like to get in and get out with a purpose.

"I find that when I buy things I buy the same thing over and over again. It will be a specific kids of bright top and I never have what you call basics. So it doesn't really go with anything."

I wouldn't describe myself as a fashionista but I am definitely not as shy about dressing as I used to be. I have learnt a lot.

Isla - who has a 15-month-old daughter, Olive, with fiance Sacha Baron Cohen - also revealed playing the shopping-crazy character in her new film has helped her learn more about fashion.

The 33-year-old beauty added: "I wouldn't describe myself as a fashionista but I am definitely not as shy about dressing as I used to be. I have learnt a lot."
