Jack Nicholson is selling his holiday home.

The 74-year-old actor has put the property in Aspen, Colorado on the market for $15 million, Realtor.com has revealed.

The property - which was added to the National Register of Historic places in 1987 - boasts eight bedrooms and five bathrooms and overlooks Hallam Lake in the west of the ski resort.

The 5,790 square foot property spans two-and-a-half storeys and an unusual carriage house which was incorporated into the overall design of the home.

The green-gabled house was originally built for early Aspen resident William Shaw in 1895.

Jack - who turns 75 later this week - was last seen at the property over the Christmas period with his 22-year-old daughter Lorraine.

Last year, the actor put his Malibu home - which he bought in 1977 - up for sale for $4.25 million.

The 70-acre luxury estate also boasted a ranch-style main house, tennis court, putting green, swimming pool and grotto-style spa.

In the main living quarters, which has 2,313 square feet of space and mountain and ocean views, there are three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a maid's quarters.
