Jack Osbourne's ugly drugs

08-08-2006 11:19

Jack Osbourne started using drugs because he felt ugly.

Jack - the son of hellraiser Ozzy Osbourne and TV star Sharon Osbourne - started experimenting with narcotics at the age of 12 because they helped him block out the feeling of being isolated.

He said: "I was this fat kid with big specs in Hollywood, where everyone is beautiful, and I'd dealt with that by making myself look like a teenage freak. I do know that inside me I wanted to be someone else."

The 20-year-old - who has recently starred in several high-adrenaline TV shows - says he has swapped drugs for a new thrill-seeking addiction.

He told Britain's Sunday Live magazine: "You could say I've swapped one addiction for another. But I am so much more in control. I'd rather be facing one of the most dangerous physical feats in the world than getting out of my head. I really was killing myself back then and it was all pointless."
