Jackson Skirts Medical Scare.
PULP FICTION star SAMUEL L JACKSON was terrified after he underwent a full-body scan and doctors discovered he had a blocked artery.
The star's wife insisted the 57-year-old get a physical and he went to the doctor's office for a series of tests.
He explains, "The doctor tells me, 'We've got this great thing, we put you in this machine and we scan your whole body.' "Next thing I know, they say, 'You've got a blockage in one of your arteries.' I go to the hospital to get an angiogram.
"They put this thing in your artery and they look into your heart. I always thought when you're having surgery they put you to sleep.
"So I'm laying there talking to the doctor thinking at some point I'm going to count backwards (for the anaesthesia). Then we're looking at the monitor and it's my body! Hey, I don't wanna watch."
Doctors eventually discovered that the actor was fine after he endured the round of traumatic testing.
