James Gandolfini's scooter crash scare

'The Sopranos' star James Gandolfini is lucky to be alive after a scooter crash in New York.The actor was riding his Vespa through the ultra-trendy Greenwich Village district when he crashed into a taxi.Gandolfini said: "I'm tough. My bike, that's not so tough. It's not doing well."According to witnesses, the actor was left sprawled on his back with torn trousers lying next to the mangled machine.Jason O'Malley, who works in a building across the street from the accident, said: "He was shaken up. A couple of guys helped him off the ground and picked up his bike."Gandolfini - who is best known for his role as Tony Soprano in the smash hit HBO series - reportedly told an onlooker: "I'm OK but I'm going to be f***ing sore tomorrow."Meanwhile, the actor has revealed he will be happy when 'The Sopranos' comes to an end.

He said: "When it's over, I'll say, 'See you later'. Eight or nine months a year, 14 hours a day, it starts to take its toll a little bit.

"I'm not moaning, I make a lot of money and I work with people I like very much."
