James McAvoy was regularly beaten up by Angelina Jolie when they filmed their new movie.The pair play assassins in 'Wanted' and James has revealed his stunning co-star often took their action scenes to the extreme.He said: "I got the s**t beaten out of me by her on a daily basis. It would be in the script that Angelina smacks James once in the face and it would turn into her smacking my head repeatedly on the table. But I guess it's all in a day's work." Despite the physicality of their scenes together, James insists he enjoyed working with the 'Tomb Raider' star and learnt a lot from her.He added to Arena magazine: "Angelina was cool, she has been in that territory a lot of times and she is familiar with the action stuff. Seeing as I hadn't done it before, it was good to have someone there that you could use as a litmus test and take advice from."'Wanted' is released in cinemas worldwide this summer.

Seeing as she was so familiar with that sort of film genre, it was easy to take advantage of James and use every opportunity to steal focus and upstage him...
