Jamie Lee Curtis says she is quitting movies because she's too old and fat. The 'Halloween' star, who is the daughter of Hollywood legends Janet Leigh and Tony Curtis, says she's retiring from the big screen because she's "a 46-year-old fat woman." She said: "I think I'll phase out acting. I know that the film business is incredibly cruel as you get older. "My age is an important factor. I am not ageing well.

I don't want to see my face growing old on camera." But the actress, who is married to 'Spinal Tap' director Christopher Haden-Guest, also admitted her decision had been influenced by her children. The Hollywood star, who has two adopted children, Annie, 18, and Tom, eight, confessed she decided to quit acting so she can spend more time with her family. She added: "Other things are more important to me now. My little son Tom is eight and needs his mother. Last week, Jamie confessed she grew addicted to painkillers after undergoing a string of cosmetic surgery operations. The actress admitted she became hooked on the pills after various cosmetic procedures, including Botox and liposuction, failed.

She said at the time: "It was during a cosmetic procedure I first had painkillers.

I found them helpful as they did the job without the messiness of alcohol. I'd anaesthetise myself on a daily basis."
