Janet Jackson denies daughter claims

Janet Jackson has denied claims she has a secret teenage daughter.Although she has remained tight-lipped over the allegations until now, the sexy singer has finally broken her silence to rubbish reports she had a baby with ex-husband James DeBarge 18 years ago. She stated: "I do not have a child, and all allegations saying so are false" Earlier this week, Janet's former brother-in-law claimed she had a secret teenage daughter. Young DeBarge told a US radio station Janet has an 18-year-old daughter named Renee.During an interview, Young claimed Renee was sent away to live with the eldest of the Jackson siblings, Janet's sister Rebbie. He is quoted as saying: "James and the Jackson family kept everything real close, real tight"Yesterday (26-05-05), Janet's ex-mother-in-law claimed she "always believed" the singer had a secret child. Etterline DeBarge admitted she has no proof she has a granddaughter, but she says she was convinced Janet was pregnant.She told America's New York Daily News newspaper: "I've always believed that Of course I do I knew she was pregnant She was heavy I have an instinct I can tell"

Jackson wed DeBarge in 1984 and their marriage was annulled a year later, with DeBarge's drug habit cited as the reason for the split.
