The 'Don't Wanna Go Home' hitmaker and the former 'American Idol' winner were spotted enjoying a night out together on Sunday (25.09.11) at Philippe Chow in Hollywood where they were belatedly celebrating Jason's 22nd birthday.

Sources have now confirmed to E! News, the pair are officially an item and are smitten with each other.

Last week, Jordin took to her twitter page to wish Jason a happy birthday, to which he replied: "thx LOVE. (sic)"

Jordin then quickly wrote back, saying: "Will you get back to the states already?? lol :P (sic)"

Earlier this year, Jason insisted he wasn't in a serious relationship and said he would impress a potential love interest by taking her out for a nice meal.

He said: "I'm just having fun and hanging out. I'm kind of messing around, I'm focused on what I'm doing, but if the right girl came along then that would change things.

"I always feel like a first date should be dinner. You get the chance to talk and get to know the person. You need that direct eye contact - and you get to have a bite to eat. Or I'd take her to one of my concerts. People think backstage is so amazing, but it's pretty dull."
