Jennifer Connelly is so scared of flying she kisses the plane for good luck before take-off.
The Oscar-winning actress has tried everything to ease her crippling phobia, but even planting a kiss on the aircraft doesn't help calm her nerves.
Jennifer said: "I've even tried kissing the plane to make things better, but nothing really works for me.
"I don't like the noises and every time there's a bump or engine shift, it really freaks me out. The tears start streaming down my face. I should be medicated but I can't because I get nervous about that, like what if something happens. What if I'm the person who can't get off the plane, or heaven forbid, can't get my kids off the plane?"
The 37-year-actress has two sons, four-year-old Stellan with her actor husband Paul Bettany and 10-year-old Kai from her relationship with photographer David Dugan.
