Jennifer Connelly's nerd confession

Jennifer Connelly was a student nerd with no social life.

The actress, who read English Literature at Yale, one of America's top universities, studied round-the-clock in the library She said: "I wasn't really concerned with having a social life or sleeping or eating much

"I was really nerdy and pretty much stayed in the law school library, which is open 24 hours, most of the time I wasn't in class I really learnt a lot of information"

But the 34-year-old Oscar winner now regrets studying so hard because she suffered badly from stress

She added in an interview with Britain's Sunday Telegraph newspaper: "I had so much information in my brain, it went completely I drove myself into the ground and had no balance whatsoever

"I also had no sense of humour and took myself so seriously"
