Jennifer Hudson says her new song is about her relationship insecurities.The singer-and-actress, who is releasing 'Spotlight' as the first single from her new album, revealed the lyrics were inspired by her love life.Jennifer, who has been dating James Payton since 1999, told US TV show 'Entertainment Tonight': "It definitely tells a story of me and my life. What I sing really happens to me." 'Spotlight' was written and co-produced by Ne-Yo.Jennifer's hotly-anticipated self-titled album is set to be released in September and she can't wait to showcase her new material.The 26-year-old star - who is working with legendary record producer Clive Davis on the LP - said: "I still have a few more songs to go before it's complete, but I think we're kind of halfway there."I want to tour. I want to get out there. I'm looking forward to that."
Jennifer also revealed she has become close friends with Queen Latifah after the pair met on the set of movie 'The Secret Life of Bees'.
She said: "Queen Latifah is like a big sister to me. I honestly feel that. I just saw her and I feel like, God, I'm with my big sister and I got to make sure I'm on my best behaviour."
