Jennifer Saunders' Shrek sadness

Jennifer Saunders was devastated to discover her animated character didn't make it into 'Shrek the Third'.Rupert Everett - who plays her son Prince Charming in hit animation 'Shrek 2' - has revealed the 'Absolutely Fabulous' star was horrified when her character, the Fairy Godmother, died at the end of the second film.He now fears his character could meet a similar fate. Rupert said: "I'm keeping fingers and toes crossed that Prince Charming survives."I watched 'Shrek 2' for the first time with Jennifer Saunders. And she was confident about Fair Godmother, she was thinking 'This character has wings, it will go on forever.'"And at the end, when she got zapped she clutched my hand looked at me and in horror and said 'No, it can't be!' And then her glasses tumble down and crash onto the floor and she said 'Well, that's it - it's over!'"At the end of this film I worry it could be over for me."
