Jessie J assures her health is not at risk because of her hectic work schedule.
Friends were reportedly worried about the amount of effort Jessie is putting into making her second album, as well as being a mentor on TV show 'The Voice' in the UK, but she has insisted she can handle the workload.
The 'Who You Are' hitmaker tweeted: "Can I be totally honest for a minute? "I was in and out of hospital with REAL health scares my whole childhood. I have a irregular heartbeat I've had all my life & I suffered a minor stroke at 18.
"Music was and always will be my way to inspire & prove to myself I could get better & give me hope when I was young.
"My health is a very important part of my life. I have made huge sacrifices to making sure my body and mind can deal with my life & I am happy I am healthy & I am trying to make the UK proud."
Jessie has previously admitted her early working life, when she was still trying to make it as a singer, contributed to her health problems.
She said: "I had, like, four jobs. I was really tired and my body shut down.
"It made me realise that no matter how much you take care of yourself - I don't drink, smoke or do drugs - you can always have your life taken away.
"I thought I wasn't able to perform again and that experience taught me that you can't take anything for granted."
