Joss Stone is "nervous" about Christmas.

The 'You Had Me' singer - who admits the festive season has always been a big event in her household - has volunteered to take over hosting duties from her mother for this year's celebrations.

She said: "It's really exciting for me. My family makes such a big deal out of Christmas and I've decided to host everyone this year. I'm actually a bit nervous, isn't that weird?

She added: I always stay home for Christmas, I couldn't ever imagine being away or without them, it's important

"My mum always makes such a big deal out of it and the tree looks gorgeous and the presents, and there's always a big breakfast. My mum does a really good job and I'm going to take it on this year."

Despite being a worldwide star, Joss, 21, says she always returns to her home county of Devon, England, for the festive holiday.

She added: "I always stay home for Christmas, I couldn't ever imagine being away or without them, it's important."
