Gail (Helen Worth) has washed her hands of David (Jack P Shepherd) and asserts that if he has any sense he'll stay well away from them. Meanwhile, David's spent the night in Darryl’s (Jonathan Dixon) shed but when Jerry (Michael Starke) finds out he's been harboring him he throws him out straight away. However, when David arrives late at the salon, he explains to Audrey (Sue Nicholls) that Gail has asked him to leave. Audrey pleads with Gail not to give up on her son as he clearly has problems and is genuinely remorseful about what happened to Beth, but Gail refuses and asks Audrey not to help him this time either. Will Gail forgive Audrey for undermining her and offering David shelter?Hayley's (Julie Hesmondhalgh) trying to make a real effort on Roy's (David Neilson) birthday and buys him a tent so they can go on eco-friendly holiday. However, she's still on edge and after making small talk she finally summons up the courage to tell him that she wants to see Christian again. Roy's uneasy but tries to take in Hayley's news, asserting that he wil not tolerate anymore lies both for Christian's sake and for the sake of their marriage. Will Hayley tell the truth? Or will she have to make a choice between her husband and her son? John (Graeme Hawley) realises he has booked theatre tickets with Sally (Sally Whittaker) for the night of Fiz’s (Jennie McAlpine) birthday and suggests that Fiz and Kevin (Michael Le Vell) come along too. Neither Fiz nor Sally are too pleased! Elsewhere, Liam (Rob James- Collier) returns from his trip to find that Carla (Alison King) has struck up a friendship with Tony (Gray O' Brien)and wonders if it is more than business. Is Liam jealous?
