Justin Timberlake's mother reportedly talked her son out of proposing to Cameron Diaz a year ago - because she didn't think he was ready to settle down.The pop heartthrob, who eventually popped the question to the stunning actress at Christmas, had wanted to propose 12 months ago and had even bought a ring.However, mom Lynn was said to be concerned with Justin's plans and told him not to, according to America's Us Weekly magazine. A source said: "Cameron was thrilled by the ring, even though there was no proposal with it. But she has worried from the beginning that Lynn didn't like her."Last month, it was reported Cameron will wear a Native American dress when she marries Justin.The stunning actress wants to ditch the traditional white wedding gown for an outfit that will pay tribute to her mother Billie's roots.The blonde beauty has asked fashion designer and close friend David Jet Black Horse to create the gown with a difference.

Justin has previously dated pop babe Britney Spears and Black Eyed Peas star Fergie, while Cameron has enjoyed long-term romances with Hollywood actors Jared Leto and Matt Dillon.
