Kanye West wants to date Amelle Berrabah.

The 'Love Lockdown' star - who recently split from model Amber Rose, although he was spotted with her at the recent BET Awards - has been confiding in friends he wants to "hook up" with the Sugababes singer while he is in the UK.

A source said: "He is hoping to hook up with her while he's in the UK.

"Kanye adores Amelle and helped her when she was in Hollywood with the other Sugababes recently - he set up a few meetings with music execs for her.

I love it, but hopefully the meeting will lead to something

"She sees him as an older brother figure, not a potential boyfriend but he has joked that things could be different if she wanted."

It doesn't seem Kanye will just sit and wait for Amelle - who first met the hip-hop star at the MTV Europe Music Awards two years ago - to accept his romantic offer.

The 'Stronger' rapper turned his attentions to British pop star Alexandra Burke ahead of his headlining performance at London's Wireless Festival last night (05.07.09).

The 'Hallelujah' singer - who shot to fame after winning the last series of UK TV talent show 'The X Factor' - revealed Kanye invited her to his dressing room before the show.

She said: "Kanye asked to meet me especially."

However, like Amelle, Alexandra isn't interested in dating the singer - but hopes he will collaborate with her.

She added: "I'm still working on my album. I love it, but hopefully the meeting will lead to something."
