Kate Bosworth has a fetish for British men.

The American actress - who has been in a relationship with British model-turned-musician James Rousseau for around two years and previously dated English actor Orlando Bloom - admits she is a complete Anglophile when it comes to her love life.

She said: "I don't know what my thing is for British men. My family probably think I've got some weird fetish. Man, I don't know."

Despite her high-profile relationships, the 25-year-old actress is uncomfortable talking about her private life.

Kate thinks her reluctance to open her heart is rooted in her being thrust in the celebrity spotlight when she starred in 'The Horse Whisperer' aged just 13.

She told Marie Claire magazine: "Some people talk about their personal live a lot. I try not to, unless it's more of a generality. I don't want to broadcast my personal life because I feel it's off-putting. People are like, 'Oh, shut the f**k up. Cry me a river.' Who wants to hear the reality, really? You can't win.

"Being dissected and judged, it's pretty brutal. But in hindsight it's great and - it sounds cliched - you do come out the other side stronger and better."
