Katie Holmes wants to become the next Reese Witherspoon.The former 'Dawson's Creek' actress - who is married to Tom Cruise - is determined to be taken seriously as an actress and wants to be respected as much as the Oscar winner.A source said: "Katie keeps telling Tom she wants a career like Reese Witherspoon's." Tom is said to have offered to help his wife by getting her a great script but Katie - who has a 23-month-old daughter, Suri, with the 'Top Gun' star - is determined to make it on her own.The source added: "Tom has offered to make calls to ensure she gets a first refusal on the hot scripts, but Katie insists she wants to achieve success without his help."Since leaving hit US teen show 'Dawson's Creek', Katie has appeared in a handful of hit films, including 'Batman Begins', 'Thank You for Smoking' and 'Phone Booth'.
