Katie Holmes' swing obsession

Katie Holmes is obsessed with playgrounds.

The actress, who has a two-year-old daughter Suri with husband Tom Cruise, has developed an interest in children's outdoor recreational areas since becoming a mother.

She revealed to new tome the 'Black Book of Hollywood Pregnancy Secrets': I just hope she's not looking at me thinking, 'Mom, are the terrible 30s coming on with you?'

She said: "We were in Berlin and I was impressed with their playgrounds. It's amazing what you become aware of as a mother. You think, 'Nice wood on that swing set.' "

Although she and Tom are one of the world's most famous couple's, the actress insists she is happy to do her own DIY and is a frequent visitor to Home Depot, one of America's biggest hardware chains.

She added: "I've been to the Depot many times with other moms. I know how to push a cart. I'm not a wimpy girl."

Katie, 30, also denied ever worrying about the 'Terrible Twos'- the allegedly most difficult age for a young child - with Suri.
