Katy Perry moans about herself to strangers.

The 'I Kissed a Girl' singer often pretends to be a different person and then criticises herself to people she doesn't know, because she finds it funny.

She said: "I'm good at putting on a hat and sunglasses. A lot of people don't recognise me. The other day I was in a lift and this guy was talking about me. He said, 'Oh yeah, I heard she was a b***h.' Then he said, 'I wouldn't even know her if she was in the lift.' So I was like, 'Yeah, me too.' And then the other day, this guy goes, 'You look like that girl who sings about kissing girls, but she's bigger than you are.' And I was like, 'Yeah, she's huge. Pudgy.' "

Does it upset me? Not at all. I find it really funny. Sometimes I even say, 'How dare you compare me to her? She is such a wench!'

However, the 24-year-old beauty insists she doesn't take the criticism to heart.

She added: "Does it upset me? Not at all. I find it really funny. Sometimes I even say, 'How dare you compare me to her? She is such a wench!' "
