Kelly Clarkson is like a "colourful Charlie's Angel".

The 26-year-old singer - whose new single 'My Life Would Suck Without You' has topped the Billboard Top 100 and the UK singles chart - has ditched her old rock-chick image, and claims her new image is the reason for her newfound success.

She said: "Everyone has been trying to put pink on me since I started seven years ago so now I've given in. I was always dark before but now I've embraced a new colourful Charlie's Angels kind of superhero vibe - except without the super powers. It seems to be working."

Despite making some changes to her image, Kelly recently claimed she has never felt pressurised to lose weight.

She said: "She said: "I feel very fortunate coming from 'American Idol'. I was the biggest girl in the group.

"I've always been thicker and millions of people voted for me. People are born all different shapes and sizes. People like me this way."
