Jerry (Mickey Starke) is excited about his date tonight with Eileen (Sue Cleaver) and pays off Darryl (Jonathan Dixon) to make sure he stays out of the way. He prepares a meal and waits for Eileen to arrive. Enjoying each other's company they sit down to the meal but find themselves being constantly interrupted by Darryl and Kayleigh (Jessica Barden). Desperate for some privacy Jerry leads Eileen to Darryl's shed. Next door Gail (Helen Worth) is trying to read but cannot concentrate due to the music coming from the shed and starts banging on the shed door. She is shocked to see Eileen come out with Jerry and smug Eileen decides to kiss him in front of her, how will Gail react?Audrey (Sue Nicholls) visits Claire (Julia Haworth) who is diappointed when she does not arrive with Ashley (Steven Arnold) or Joshua. Audrey pleads to her that she needs to get back to Ashley before someone else takes him away from her but Claire reassures her that Ashley would never be unfaithful. Meanwhile Ashley tells Casey that he has been thinking about making a choice between her and Claire but before he can finish Casey interupts him and tells how much she loves him and how they can move away together. How will Ashley react?

Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) is annoyed with Cilla (Wendi Peters) for not spending much time with Chesney (Sam Aston) due to her new job.

Cilla brings Frank (Keith Clifford) to the Rovers and introduces him to the residents. She agrees to become his full time carer.

Doreen (Barbara Young) and Rita (Barbara Knox) finally are introduced to George (Keith Barron) and Ivor (Paul Copley) both of whom try to work out who could be Norris's (Malcolm Hebden) love interest.
