Kevin Costner builds canoes in his spare time.The Hollywood star admits he isn't the best carpenter but has still managed to make three boats.He said: "I'm not a craftsman. I've built three canoes - they're all horrible-looking, but they float."The actor also revealed his happiest days were during his childhood - when he felt like Mark Twain character Huckleberry Finn.He said: "Being 12 was the happiest time of my life. I lived a Huck Finn life."It had nothing to do with economic privilege, it was just imagination. I thought I had the greatest back garden in the world."Costner confessed he often harks back to his schooldays now he's 50.He told Britain's You magazine: "I remember when I was 20 looking at people who were 50 and thinking they looked ancient. Sometimes I do feel ancient. But I do fly back in time a lot. Yesterday I had a strong tactile memory of holding a project from the seventh grade."
