Kevin Federline is hiring himself out to private parties - in a desperate bid to promote his new album. The fledgling rapper, the husband of Britney Spears, is apparently so desperate to get his career off the ground he is offering to perform his rap songs to anyone willing to pay £8,000.The former dancer has reportedly been told by his record label that appearing at private parties could help boost the sales of his debut album 'Playing With Fire'. A source said: "'Rent-a-celebrity' parties are becoming popular in the US but entertainment industry bosses reckon it's just for wannabes who lack the talent to make it big. People like Kevin will always struggle and this is a desperate way to make cash."Kevin's first live music performance at America's Teen Choice Awards, in August, was slammed by critics. After watching him perform his debut single, 'Lose Control', rapper Sean Paul said: "I was expecting more dancing from the dude, you know."Elliot Wilson, the editor-in-chief of respected hip-hop magazine XXL, said: "I think we should ignore him. He's a joke, basically. I just don't think he gets it."
