Kim Cattrall is set to play a quadriplegic in a West End play. The 'Sex and the City' beauty will star as Claire, a sculptress whose spinalcord is smashed in a car crash, in the play 'Whose Line Is It Anyway?'. Kim claims she is looking forward to the challenging role, saying: "I won't be able to move from the neck down and that was part of the challenge - to play this incredibly free physical spirit." Bizarrely, the 47-year-old actress says there are many similarities to Claire and her 'Sex and the City' character, man-eater Samantha Jones. She added: "Even though this woman cannot move from the neck down, she's definitely not dead from the waist down." Kim is hoping to seek advice on how to play the role from paralysed 'Superman' star Christopher Reeve about how he has coped with life in a wheelchair following his riding accident several years ago. Meanwhile, Kim has begun filming her first movie since 'Sex and the City'. The blonde star is playing an ice-skating coach in Disney movie 'Ice Princess', which is being shot in Toronto. She revealed: "For the first time in six years, I am in another skin. There is no comfort zone around you. I knew Samantha inside and out. This woman is so different."Plans for a 'Sex and the City' movie were recently scrapped after Kim refused to star in it. She had chosen not to reprise her role in a film version of the hit TV show after she grew fed up of waiting to see a script.0Comments | Be the first to comment!
