Punk icons The Sex Pistols' classic debut is to be re-released in its original format as part of the album's 30th anniversary.Virgin Records will release a special 30th anniversary edition of the album Never Mind The Bollocks... Here's The Sex Pistols in October (07).According to Billboard.com, the set will be available on heavyweight vinyl with a 7" insert of Submission and a poster - just as it was when it was originally released on 29 October, 1977. The album was released to mixed reviews and many high street shops including W.H. Smith and Woolworth's refusing to stock the album.Despite this the album reaching the top of the UK album charts but only reached 106 on the U.S Billboard chart.It's only now, thirty years on, does the album and the band get recongnition as possibly the greatest influence on punk rock music.Never Mind The Bollocks was chosed by TIME Magazine in 2006 as one of the 100 most important albums of all time. Similarly the album was put at number one in a Fifty Greatest Punk Albums Ecer poll run by Kerrang! magazine.
