Kim Kardashian's stepdad doubted marriage

Bruce Jenner has admitted he had doubts over Kim Kardashian's relationship with Kris Humphries and didn't think his stepdaughter would accept the sportsman's marriage proposal.

Kim Kardashian's stepfather didn't think she'd marry Kris Humphries.

Bruce Jenner - who is married to the socialite's mother Kris Jenner - admitted he had doubts about the couple's relationship and was unsure the brunette beauty would even accept the sportsman's proposal.

He said: "I can look at people and I can tell if it's going to work or not.

"I had my questions. I remember when Kris came to me. We were playing golf and he asked me, 'Is it OK to ask for her hand in marriage?' In the back of my head I said, 'I don't know if she is going to say yes. But it's not my decision.' "

Kim filed for divorce after just 72 days of marriage to Kris and though Bruce says it was a "horrible" time for the family, he is proud of his stepdaughter for taking action so quickly.

He said: "I think once she got into it, she realised this is not going to work. And she knew she was going to take the heat... She's a smart woman and said, 'Hey, I gotta cut my losses and move on.' It was horrible. I felt terrible."

Bruce says he and Kris now want to be more involved with their daughters' love decisions.

He told TV talk show host Ellen DeGeneres: "Maybe we should start questioning some of their decisions...

"The next guy's got to go through me"
