Kim Kardashian may reunite with Reggie Bush.

The couple called time on their two-year relationship earlier this week because they were spending too much time apart, but the socialite's best friend Brittny Gastineau says reconciliation shouldn't be ruled out.

She said: "They love each other so much, they're best friends, but whatever is meant to happen, happens.

Kim is a very strong woman. She's very focused and smart. She'll be totally fine. But I hate to see anyone split. She's my best friend, so I hate to see my best friend sad.

"Will they get back together? Who knows what's going to happen in the future. Anything is possible."

Socialite Brittny was stunned by the news of the split, but insists her pal is coping fine.

She told People magazine: "I loved them as a couple. I thought they were great. I always said that they were the same person. I never met a couple who were so great. They clicked well together.

"Kim is a very strong woman. She's very focused and smart. She'll be totally fine. But I hate to see anyone split. She's my best friend, so I hate to see my best friend sad."

Despite Brittny's hopes, Kim's sister Kourtney says the 28-year-old beauty is looking forward to moving on with her life.

She said: "Kim is great. She is looking at houses. She is going to be living on her own."
