Kurt Cobain film

Courtney Love is in talks to make a film about her late husband Kurt Cobain.

The Nirvana singer could be immortalised on the big screen after widow Love acquired the rights to 'Heavier Than Heaven' - a biography written by Charles Cross.

Love has confirmed the project is "in an embryonic stage" and she is currently in talks with several studios.

She wrote on her website moonwashedrose.com: "It has no script and no director attached, let alone stars.

"But if the movie is made it will of course be an A list and high end film."

If a deal is agreed, this will be the first authorised movie about Cobain, his time in Nirvana and his relationship with Love.

'Last Days', considered by many to be director Gus Van Sant's unauthorised account of Cobain's life, starred Michael Pitt as a Seattle musician whose career bore a striking resemblance to Cobain's.
