Kurt Russell is to star in a new movie written by his long-term partner Goldie Hawn.
The actor, who has been dating the stunning actress for 23 years, will play the lead role in Goldie's latest project which she will also direct.
It is the first film the pair have worked on together since 1987's 'Overboard'.
He said: "Goldie has written a picture called 'Ashes To Ashes' which she has asked me to star in. She's going to direct the movie and I'm going to play the main character. He's a mysterious guy."
However, Kurt - who has a 20-year-old son, Wyatt, with Goldie - insists the couple have no plans to ask the other actor in their family to get involved.
The 55-year-old star insists Oscar-nominated actress Kate Hudson, Goldie's daughter from a previous relationship, will not appear in the movie but says the trio do plan to work together at some point in the future.
He added: "Kate is not going to be involved this time, but she will definitely be involved in the next project we do."
