Kylie Minogue Most Admired Female Celebrity

Kylie Minogue has been crowned the most admired female celebrity of the decade, claiming nearly half of all votes (48%) and beating her nearest rivals (Madonna and Victoria Beckham who both got 13.5% of votes) by a long shot.

X-Factor darling Cheryl Cole won the UK public’s vote for the female star most admired in 2009 with 42% of the overall vote. Unsurprisingly, recent jungle drop-out Katie Price, aka Jordan, came in last with just 3% of the vote.

The survey, conducted by Suunto sports watches, which polled 1,000 UK consumers, also revealed that the ideal look most people currently admire includes:

Jennifer Aniston’s hair (42%)

Cheryl Cole’s face (26%)

Holly Willoughby’s boobs (50%)

Tess Daly’s legs (31%)

J-Lo’s bum (38%)

When it comes to getting trim for the New Year, an overwhelming 57% said they’d choose Kelly Brook as their gym buddy; 35% agreed they would avoid standing next to Madonna in the gym.

In terms of body image, Amy Winehouse (38%) topped the list of celebs seen as having had a bad influence on body image in 2009 with Kerry Katona close behind.

On the other hand, Kate Winslet (33%) and Myleene Klass (20%) were the two celebs seen as having the most positive influence on body image this last year.

The survey also confirmed that we’re a nation obsessed with ‘celebrity’ with a staggering 98% saying they believe we are too influenced by celebrities.

An equally high 96% claimed we’re a nation obsessed with weight and appearance although 94% of Brits think that celeb appearances are scrutinized far too much by the UK media.
