Led Zeppelin will record a new album and tour with a new singer this year.
Peter Mensch, guitarist Jimmy Page's manager, confirmed the legendary rockers are planning to reunite without singer Robert Plant, who has repeatedly insisted he no longer wants to play with the group.
And we're not soliciting people
Peter - who revealed the band, including bassists John Paul Jones and drummer Jason Bonham, are keen to work together again - said: "They did the show at London's O2 Arena in 2007 with Robert Plant - they had a really good time rehearsing, the three of them, before Robert showed up.
"And they decided that if they could find a singer that they thought would fit their bill - whatever their bill was at this stage in their career - that they'd make a record and go on tour.
"John Paul Jones and Jimmy Page enjoy playing with each other, Jason Bonham is a really good drummer so why not? We just need to find a singer."
Despite recent speculation Aerosmith's Steven Tyler or Chris Cornell are to replace Robert, Peter refused to say who the group had in mind as a new frontman.
He added: "It's going to be a long and difficult process. And we're not soliciting people. So don't call me about it."
