According to the New York Post, Hastings originally went forward with the story to an entertainment website following the incident, but the model insists she reached out to Lohan first: "I contacted Lindsay and said, 'Look, I know you stole my clothes.' She then said I was completely delusional, I was pathetic , I was out of my mind".
Los Angeles County prosecutors have declined to press charges against Lohan, citing insufficient evidence of Hastings' claims.
Retired Deputy Attorney Greg Somes, who reviewed the case last year, says: "There was clothing (Lohan) was entitled to take. So the issue is if she took clothes she was not entitled to take, and no one can say if she did that or did not".
Lohan's spokesperson has yet to respond to the New York Post report.
