Ben asks Phil if he’s angry about yesterday and wants to know whether he’ll ask Stella to marry him.. Phil tells Peggy that Ben wants him to marry Stella. Stella tries to have lunch with Phil but he’s too busy. Peggy listens in, concerned. Stella puts pressure on Ben to persuade Phil about the marriage. Phil’s annoyed that Peggy’s got Minty to talk to him. Ben cries in bed, and asks Phil why he won’t marry Stella. Ben tells Phil he doesn’t want to lose another mum. Phil gives nothing away as he tucks into Stella’s special meal. Stella asks if he’s got something on his mind. Phil says he’s worried about Ben. Later, Stella reveals he overheard her on the phone. She’s been offered a job in Manchester. Phil’s shocked and because he doesn’t want to lose her asks her to marry him. Stella tells Peggy she looking at the future Mrs Mitchell. Stella tucks Ben into bed and tells him everything’s going to be fine now. Phil tells Stella he’s had bad luck in the past which is why he wants it to be different with her - most of all he wants someone to be Ben’s mum. Stella’s quietly horrified…May smashes up the flat with Rob’s golf clubs. Rob promises to take Dawn out tonight. Jane persuades May to go for a drink. May clears out Rob’s stuff and tells Dawn that it’s ready for collection. The Vic falls silent when Rob and Dawn enter. Dawn orders champagne while Tanya and Jane can’t believe her nerve. May covers that she’s fine. Dawn raises a glass to May. Jane makes to head over but May stops her. May stops in front of Rob and Dawn, takes off her wedding ring and leaves. May breaks down as Jane comforts her saying she wants revenge. Jane tells her there’s a way….Ian’s annoyed with the estate agent and decides to advertise the flat privately. Jane suggests they stay put but Ian’s not listening. Billy has a go at Jane. Ian shows Jane the ad for the house but she says she’s found the ideal tenants - Billy and Honey. Billy thanks Ian for letting them have the house, but Ian tells him the agent has found a tenant who’s prepared to pay his exorbitant rent. Billy can’t believe Ian’s shafting him again.Darren & Libby discuss the web-sites. Darren leaves, saying he’s got better things to do. Darren sneakily distracts Gaynor so he can take a photo of the diary in the salon. Darren unveils his revenge plan to Mo about Tanya. He’s cancelled all the appointments at the salon and made up posters offering free perms to the blue rinse brigade. Dot’s nose is put out of joint when she enters the launderette to help Yolande and finds her coping just fine without her. Yolande suggests making the launderette non-smoking. Dot fumes silently. Yolande tells Shirley she can’t smoke in the launderette. Shirley points out there’s no sign and Dot backs her up. Dot confides in Shirley who tells her not be run down by Yolande.
