Director M. Night Shyamalan was terrified of showing his new movie to his children. The filmmaker - who has two daughters with his wife, Indian psychologist Bhavna Vaswani - was nervous about letting his two daughters watch his latest film 'Lady in the Water' because they are brutally honest. He told BANG Showbiz: "The only time I was really nervous about this movie was when I showed it to my kids. I knew they'd be honest." Shyamalan, whose previous films include 'The Sixth Sense', 'Signs' and 'The Village', didn't reveal what his daughters thought of the film, but is hopeful his latest project will attract families who want to watch a movie together. He added: "I envisioned this as a family movie - kids aged 8 and up. I hope it will get to families over time. At the preview screenings, it made dads cry and children laugh."'Lady in the Water' follows apartment superintendent Cleveland Heep, played by actor Paul Giamatti, who rescues what he thinks is a young woman from a swimming pool, but discovers she is actually a character from a bedtime story trying to make her way back home.
