Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie have reportedly renewed their wedding vows - four years after they first married in Scotland. The superstar couple, who have a four-year-old son, Rocco, together, reaffirmed their commitment to each other in a low-key ceremony at their English countryside estate, witnessed by movie beauty Gwyneth Paltrow and her husband Chris Martin, last month. A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Christmas is a special time for them because they originally tied the knot on December 22nd four years ago. "They've been together a long time and felt the time was right to renew their wedding vows." The Kabbalah-based ceremony, which was also attended by Madonna's daughter Lourdes and Gwyneth's six-month-old baby Apple, marked the couple's ongoing commitment to the mystical religious movement and signalled the end of a triumphant year for the pair. The source added: "Madonna and Guy are closer now than ever before." Insiders also revealed the couple, who met at a dinner party hosted by pop star Sting's wife Trudie Styler in 1998, exchanged new wedding rings at the intimate ceremony. The 'Snatch' director presented his 46-year-old wife with a new £100,000 wedding band made by exclusive French jewellers FRED, while Madonna gave her husband a new ring, originally intended as a Christmas gift, which she had ordered more than six months ago. The source added: "Guy bought Madonna the most amazing ring and she has been showing it off to everyone."
